Bundesliga (Week 16) : Schalke 04 defeats Paderborn 2-1
GERMANY, Dec. 17, 2014 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 16: After losing 1-2 to FC Köln on December 13, the Royal Blues returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Paderborn this Wednesday.
Schalke 04 midfielder Kaan Ayhan opened the score in the 31st minute with an own goal, before seeing Schalke 04 catch up in the 44th minute thanks to Choupo-moting. 1-1 at half time. The Royal Blues eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Neustädter in the 78th minute.
FC Schalke 04 climbed to fifth place with 26 points from 16 games, only one point behind Bayer Leverkusen.
