GERMANY, Dec. 16, 2014 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 16: Augsburg crashed to their 2nd consecutive defeat as they lost 2-0 against Hannover 96.
Hannover 96 dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Senegalese defender Salif Sané in the 20th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Hannover 96 players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Joselu on penalty in the 55th minute.
FC Augsburg remains in fifth place with 24 points from 16 games, tie on points with Borussia Mönchengladbach, which has a game in hand.
