GERMANY, Feb. 1, 2015 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 18: Two wins in a row for Werder Bremen. After their 2-1 win against Borussia Dortmund on December 20, Die Werderaner continued their sensational form in the Bundesliga with a 2-0 victory over Hertha Berlin this Sunday.
Franco Di Santo scored dual goals
Werder Bremen dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Argentine forward Franco Di Santo in the 43rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Die Werderaner further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Di Santo in the 69th minute.
SV Werder Bremen climbed to 12nd place with 20 points from 18 games, only one point behind 1. FSV Mainz 05.
