GERMANY, Dec. 20, 2014 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 17: After losing 4-1 to Mönchengladbach on December 17, Die Werderaner returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund this Saturday.
Werder Bremen dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Davie Selke in the 3rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Die Werderaner further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Bartels in the 62nd minute.
SV Werder Bremen climbed to 16th place with 17 points from 17 games, tie on points with VfB Stuttgart.
