Bundesliga (Week 8) : FC Köln defeats Schalke 04 3-0

GERMANY, Oct. 4, 2015 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 8: After four straigth victories against Mainz, Stuttgart, Eintracht Frankfurt and Hamburger SV, the Royal Blues lost 3-0 against FC Köln.

FC Köln dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by French forward Anthony Modeste in the 45th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Billy Goats further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Gerhardt '79 and Zoller '84).

FC Schalke 04 remains in third place with 16 points from 8 games, one point behind Borussia Dortmund, which has a game in hand.
