GERMANY, Mar. 2, 2016 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 24: After three straigth victories against Augsburg, Darmstadt 98 and Wolfsburg, the Bavarians lost 2-1 against Mainz.
Mainz dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Spanish midfielder Samperio Jairo in the 26th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the O-Fives further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Cordoba Jhon with just 4 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Bayern Munich remains in first place with 62 points from 24 games, a 5-point lead over runner-up Borussia Dortmund.
