Bundesliga (Week 24) : Hoffenheim defeats Augsburg 2-1
GERMANY, Mar. 2, 2016 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 24: After losing 3-1 to Borussia Dortmund on February 28, Hoffenheim returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Augsburg this Wednesday.
Hoffenheim forward Kevin Volland opened the score in the 25th minute, before seeing Augsburg catch up in the 40th minute thanks to Paul Verhaegh penalty kick. 1-1 at half time. Hoffenheim eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Uth Mark with just 9 minutes remaining in regulation time.
FC Augsburg remains in 13rd place with 25 points from 24 games, 3 points behind VfB Stuttgart.
