GERMANY, Oct. 16, 2016 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 7: After their 0-0 draw against Wolfsburg on October 2, the O-Fives returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Darmstadt 98 this Sunday.
Mainz dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Argentine midfielder Pablo De Blasis in the 5th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the O-Fives further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Malli on penalty in the 56th minute.
1. FSV Mainz 05 climbed to 7th place with 11 points from 7 games, only one point behind RB Leipzig, which has a game in hand.
