GERMANY, Feb. 4, 2017 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 19: After losing 2-1 to RB Leipzig on January 28, Hoffenheim returned to winning ways with a 4-0 victory over Mainz this Saturday.
Ádám Szalai scored dual goals
Hoffenheim dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Uth Mark in the 5th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Hoffenheim players further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Terrazzino '81 and Szalai '86, '90).
TSG 1899 Hoffenheim climbed to third place with 34 points from 19 games, 8 points behind RB Leipzig, which has a game in hand.
