AFCON 2015 : Ivory Coast draw 1-1 with Guinea
MALABO, Jan. 20, 2015 (AMP) — Equatorial Guinea 2015 : Ivory Coast tied 1-1 with Guinea (halftime: 0-1), in a AFCON group stage game on Tuesday afternoon at the Nuevo Estadio de Malabo.
The Guineans started off well by taking the lead thanks to M. Yattara in the 36th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Ivory Coast with a saving goal from Ivorian forward Seydou Doumbia in the 72nd minute.
The result left both teams on top of Group D with one point. In their next game, Guinea will meet Cameroon at the Nuevo Estadio de Malabo on January 24, while Ivory Coast will face Mali.
