Guinea draws with Mali to reach AFCON quarterfinals
MONGOMO, Jan. 28, 2015 (AMP) — Equatorial Guinea 2015 : Guinea tied 1-1 with Mali (halftime: 1-0), in a AFCON group stage game on Wednesday night at the Estadio de Mongomo.
The Guineans started off well by taking the lead thanks to Constant on penalty in the 15th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Mali with a saving goal from Malian forward Modibo Maïga in the 47th minute.
