AFCON 2015 : Ivory Coast and Mali tied at 1-1
MALABO, Jan. 24, 2015 (AMP) — Equatorial Guinea 2015 : Ivory Coast tied 1-1 with Mali (halftime: 0-1), in a AFCON group stage game on Saturday afternoon at the Nuevo Estadio de Malabo.
The Malians started off well by taking the lead thanks to Malian midfielder Bakary Sako in the 7th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Ivory Coast with a saving goal from Ivorian forward Max Gradel in the 86th minute.
The result left both teams on top of Group D with 2 points. In their last game, Mali will meet Guinea at the Nuevo Estadio de Malabo on January 28, while Ivory Coast will face Cameroon.
