Burkina Faso beats Guinea-Bissau to reach AFCON quarterfinals
FRANCEVILLE, Jan. 22, 2017 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 : Burkina Faso defeated Guinea-Bissau by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a AFCON group stage game on Sunday night at the Stade de Franceville.
Burkina Faso dominated the first half as a result of the unfortunate own goal scored by Rudinilson in the 12th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Burkinabés further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by B. Traoré in the 58th minute.
