Caribbean Cup 2017 Qualifiers : Curaçao beats Antigua and Barbuda 3-0
WILLEMSTAD, Oct. 5, 2016 (AMP) — USA 2017 (Qualifiers) : Curaçao defeated Antigua and Barbuda by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Caribbean Cup on Wednesday night at the Ergilio Hato Stadium in Willemstad.
Curaçao dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Dutch midfielder Leandro Bacuna in the 12th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Curaçaoans further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Janga '80 and Gino van Kessel '90).
The result put the Curaçaoans top of Group 3 with 3 points. In their last game, Curaçao will meet Puerto Rico at the Ergilio Hato Stadium on October 11, while Antigua and Barbuda will face Puerto Rico.
