Curaçao beats Puerto Rico in extra time to advance to Caribbean Cup semifinals
BAYAMON, Oct. 11, 2016 (AMP) — USA 2017 (Qualifiers) : Curaçao defeated Puerto Rico 4-2 after extra time, in a Caribbean Cup qualifying game on Tuesday night at the Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium in Bayamon.
Leandro Bacuna scored dual goals
The score was still 2-2 after the 90 minutes of regulation time, after goals from H. Ramos ('16) and M. Ramos ('27) for Puerto Rico and Janga ('69) and Leandro Bacuna ('85) for Curaçao, and both teams had to wait for overtime to settle the issue. The Curaçaoans finally broke through with goals from Zschusschen ('97) and Bacuna ('120).
