ENGLAND, Aug. 27, 2016 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 5: After a 2-2 draw with Reading on August 20, the Seagulls lost 2-0 against Newcastle.

Newcastle dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by defender Jamaal Lascelles in the 15th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Magpies further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Shelvey in the 63rd minute.

Newcastle United climbed to fourth place with 9 points from 5 games, tie on points with Barnsley FC.
