ENGLAND, Sep. 14, 2016 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 7: The match between Aston Villa and Brentford ended in a 1-1 draw on Wednesday.

Aston Villa players started off well by taking the lead thanks to French forward Jonathan Kodjia in the 19th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Brentford with a saving goal from Egan John in the 88th minute.

Brentford FC remains in 8th place with 11 points from 7 games, tie on points with Brighton and Hove Albion FC.
