Championship : Newcastle beat Barnsley to win Championship title
ENGLAND, May. 7, 2017 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 46: Three wins in a row for Newcastle. After their success against Preston and Cardiff City, the Magpies continued their sensational form in the Championship with a 3-0 victory over Barnsley this Sunday.
Newcastle dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Spanish forward Ayoze Pérez in the 23rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Magpies further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Mbemba Chancel '59 and Gayle '90).
