WALES, Apr. 28, 2017 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 45: Two wins in a row for Newcastle. After their 4-1 win against Preston on April 24, the Magpies continued their sensational form in the Championship with a 2-0 victory over Cardiff City this Friday.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Atsu Christian ('55) and Hayden Isaac ('65).
Newcastle United remains in second place with 91 points from 45 games, one point behind Brighton and Hove Albion FC, which has a game in hand.
