Ivory Coast beats Gabon to reach CHAN quarterfinals
BUTARE, Jan. 24, 2016 (AMP) — Rwanda 2016 : Ivory Coast defeated Gabon by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a CHAN group stage game on Sunday afternoon at the Stade Huye in Butare.
Ivory Coast dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Aka in the 18th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Ivorians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Guiza '65, Boua '76 and Ble '83).
