CHAN 2016 Qualifiers : Morocco beats Libya 3-0
CASABLANCA, Jun. 21, 2015 (AMP) — Rwanda 2016 (Qualifiers) : Morocco defeated Libya by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 African Nations Championship (North Zone) on Sunday night at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca.
Morocco dominated the first half thanks to goals from Iajour ('16) and Hafidi ('40). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Moroccans further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Saâdane in the 73rd minute.
The result put the Moroccans top of the group with 4 points. Libya is second with 3 points. In their next game, Morocco will meet second-placed Libya at the Mohammed V Stadium on October 22, while Libya will face Tunisia.
