TANGIER, Jan. 15, 2018 (AMP) — Kenya 2018 : Libya defeated Equatorial Guinea by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a CHAN group stage game on Monday afternoon at the Ibn Batouta Stadium in Tangier.
Al Taher scored dual goals
Libya dominated the first half thanks to goals from Al Taher ('11, '16). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Libyans further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Alharaish with just 4 minutes remaining in regulation time.
The result put the Libyans top of Group C with 3 points. In their next game, Libya will meet Nigeria at the Ibn Batouta Stadium on January 19, while Equatorial Guinea will face Rwanda.
