TANGIER, Jan. 19, 2018 (AMP) — Kenya 2018 : Nigeria defeated Libya by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a CHAN group stage game on Friday afternoon at the Ibn Batouta Stadium in Tangier.
45 minutes of play and neither the Nigerians nor the Libyans have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Faleye in the 79th minute.
The result put the Nigerians top of Group C with 4 points. Libya is second with 3 points. In their last game, Nigeria will meet Equatorial Guinea at the Ibn Batouta Stadium on January 23, while Libya will face Rwanda.
