Nigeria beats Equatorial Guinea to reach CHAN quarterfinals
AGADIR, Jan. 23, 2018 (AMP) — Kenya 2018 : Nigeria defeated Equatorial Guinea by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a CHAN group stage game on Tuesday night at the Agadir Stadium.
Equatorial Guinea had started off well by taking the lead in the 40th minute with a goal by Nsi. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Nigerians nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Okpotu '60, Ojo '69 and Ali '84 on penalty).
