GUAYAQUIL, Dec. 9, 1959 (AMP) — Ecuador 1959 : Argentina defeated Paraguay by a score of 4-2 (halftime: 1-1), in a Copa América final round game (Final tournament) on Wednesday.

The result put the Argentine second in the group with 3 points. Paraguay is fourth with no points. In their next game, Argentina will meet Ecuador on December 12, while Paraguay will face Uruguay.
