GUAYAQUIL, Dec. 22, 1959 (AMP) — Ecuador 1959 : Paraguay tied 1-1 with Uruguay (halftime: 1-0), in a Copa América final round game (Final tournament) on Tuesday. Uruguay won the 27th edition of the Copa América, their 10th title in history.

The result put the Uruguayans top of the group with 10 points. Paraguay is fourth with one point.
