WUHAN, Aug. 2, 2015 (AMP) — China 2015 : South Korea defeated China by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a East Asian Cup final round game (Final Tournament) on Sunday night at the Wuhan Sports Center Stadium.
South Korea dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Kim Seung-dae in the 45th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Koreans further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Lee Jong-ho in the 57th minute.
The result put the Koreans top of the group with 3 points. In their next game, South Korea will meet third-placed Japan at the Wuhan Sports Center Stadium on August 5, while China will face North Korea.
