WUHAN, Aug. 5, 2015 (AMP) — China 2015 : Japan tied 1-1 with South Korea (halftime: 1-1), in a East Asian Cup final round game (Final Tournament) on Wednesday night at the Wuhan Sports Center Stadium.
One goal for both sides in the first half, Yamaguchi ('39) for Japan, Jang Hyun-soo ('26 on penalty) for South Korea and none in the second.
The result put the Koreans top of the group with 4 points. Japan is third with one point. In their last game, South Korea will meet second-placed North Korea at the Wuhan Sports Center Stadium on August 9, while Japan will face China.
