East Asian Cup 2017 Qualifiers : Taiwan beats Mongolia 2-0
DEDEDO, Jul. 2, 2016 (AMP) — Japan 2017 (Qualifiers) : Taiwan defeated Mongolia by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 EAFF East Asian Cup (First Round) on Saturday afternoon at the Guam Football Association National Training Center in Dededo.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Lin Chien-hsun ('57) and Lin Shih-kai ('90).
The result put the Taiwanese top of the group with 6 points. Mongolia is third with one point. In their last game, Taiwan will meet second-placed Macau at the Guam Football Association National Training Center on July 4, while Mongolia will face Northern Mariana Islands.
