SAINT DENIS, Jun. 10, 2016 (AMP) — France 2016 : France defeated Romania by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a Euro group stage game on Friday night at the Stade de France in Saint Denis.
45 minutes of play and neither the Frenchs nor the Romanians have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Giroud ('57) and Payet ('89).
The result put the French top of Group A with 3 points. In their next game, France will meet Albania at the Stade de France on June 15, while Romania will face Switzerland.
