Euro 2016 : Romania and Switzerland play out 1-1 draw
PARIS, Jun. 15, 2016 (AMP) — France 2016 : Romania tied 1-1 with Switzerland (halftime: 1-0), in a Euro group stage game on Wednesday night at the Parc des Princes in Paris.
The Romanians started off well by taking the lead thanks to Stancu on penalty in the 18th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Switzerland with a saving goal from Swiss forward Admir Mehmedi in the 57th minute.
The result put the Swiss top of Group A with 4 points. Romania is third with one point. In their last game, Switzerland will meet second-placed France at the Parc des Princes on June 19, while Romania will face Albania.
