MARSEILLE, Jun. 15, 2016 (AMP) — France 2016 : France defeated Albania by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Euro group stage game on Wednesday night at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille.
45 minutes of play and neither the Frenchs nor the Albanians have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Griezmann ('90) and Payet ('90).
The result put the French top of Group A with 6 points. Albania is bottom with no points. In their last game, France will meet second-placed Switzerland at the Stade Vélodrome on June 19, while Albania will face Romania.
