BORDEAUX, Jun. 18, 2016 (AMP) — France 2016 : Belgium defeated Ireland by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Euro group stage game on Saturday afternoon at the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux.
Romelu Lukaku scored dual goals
45 minutes of play and neither the Belgians nor the Irishs have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Lukaku ('48, '70) and Witsel ('61).
The result put the Belgians second in Group E with 3 points. Ireland is bottom with one point. In their last game, Belgium will meet third-placed Sweden at the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux on June 22, while Ireland will face Italy.
