VILLENEUVE-D'ASCQ, Jun. 22, 2016 (AMP) — France 2016 : Ireland defeated Italy by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Euro group stage game on Wednesday night at the Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Villeneuve-d'Ascq.
Italy made the Irishs doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Irish midfielder Robbie Brady with just 5 minutes remaining in regulation time.
