BORDEAUX, Jun. 14, 2016 (AMP) — France 2016 : Hungary defeated Austria by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Euro group stage game on Tuesday night at the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux.
45 minutes of play and neither the Hungarians nor the Austrians have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Szalai ('62) and Stieber ('87).
The result put the Hungarians top of Group F with 3 points. In their next game, Hungary will meet Iceland at the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux on June 18, while Austria will face Portugal.
