Euro 2016 : Iceland beats Austria 2-1 to qualify for the Round of 16
SAINT DENIS, Jun. 22, 2016 (AMP) — France 2016 : Iceland defeated Austria by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a Euro group stage game on Wednesday night at the Stade de France in Saint Denis.
Iceland dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Böðvarsson in the 18th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Icelanders further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Traustason in stoppage time.
