PASADENA, Jul. 7, 2013 (AMP) — USA 2013 : Martinique defeated Canada by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Gold Cup group stage game on Sunday afternoon at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Reuperné in stoppage time.
The result put the Martinicans top of Group A with 3 points. In their next game, Martinique will meet Panama at the Rose Bowl on July 11, while Canada will face Mexico.
