Gold Cup 2015 : Honduras and Panama play to a 1-1 draw
FOXBOROUGH, Jul. 10, 2015 (AMP) — USA 2015 : Honduras tied 1-1 with Panama (halftime: 0-1), in a Gold Cup group stage game on Friday night at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
The Panamanians started off well by taking the lead thanks to Tejada in the 21st minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Honduras with a saving goal from Honduran midfielder Andy Najar in the 81st minute.
The result put the Panamanians second in Group A with 2 points. Honduras is bottom with one point. In their last game, Panama will meet group leaders the United States at the Gillette Stadium on July 13, while Honduras will face Haiti.
