FOXBOROUGH, Jul. 10, 2015 (AMP) — USA 2015 : The United States defeated Haiti by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Gold Cup group stage game on Friday night at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by American forward Clint Dempsey in the 47th minute.
The result put the Americans top of Group A with 6 points. Haiti is bottom with one point. In their last game, the United States will meet Panama at the Gillette Stadium on July 13, while Haiti will face Honduras.
