Gold Cup 2015 : Costa Rica and Jamaica tied at 2-2
CARSON, Jul. 8, 2015 (AMP) — USA 2015 : Costa Rica tied 2-2 with Jamaica (halftime: 2-1), in a Gold Cup group stage game on Wednesday afternoon at the StubHub Center in Carson.
The Costa Ricans started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Miller ('33) and Ramírez ('37) while the Jamaicans only scored once McCleary ('13). However, even though they were leading 2-1 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Jamaica with a saving goal from McAnuff in the 48th minute.
The result left both teams on top of Group B with one point. In their next game, Jamaica will meet Canada at the StubHub Center on July 11, while Costa Rica will face El Salvador.
