No goals in the first half and one each in the second, Ruiz ('60) for Costa Rica, Corea ('90) for El Salvador.
The result put the Costa Ricans second in Group B with 2 points. El Salvador is third with 2 points. In their last game, Costa Rica will meet Canada at the BBVA Compass Stadium on July 14, while El Salvador will face Jamaica.
