La Liga (Week 24) : Valencia defeats Cordoba 2-1
SPAIN, Feb. 21, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 24: Three wins in a row for Valencia. After their success against Espanyol and Getafe, Los Che continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-1 victory over Cordoba this Saturday.
Valencia dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Gomes in the 38th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Che further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Piatti with just 8 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Valencia CF remains in fourth place with 50 points from 24 games, tie on points with Atletico Madrid, which has a game in hand.
