La Liga (Week 24) : Getafe beats Espanyol 2-1
SPAIN, Feb. 20, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 24: After losing 1-0 to Valencia on February 15, Los Azulones returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Espanyol this Friday.
Getafe dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Pablo Sarabia in the 33rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Azulones further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Vazquez in the 57th minute.
RCD Espanyol remains in 8th place with 29 points from 24 games, 6 points behind Malaga CF, which has a game in hand.
