La Liga (Week 23) : Espanyol beats Malaga 2-0
SPAIN, Feb. 14, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 23: After losing 3-2 to Sevilla on February 8 and 1-2 to Valencia on February 8, Los Periquitos returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Malaga this Saturday.
Espanyol dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by defender Álvaro González in the 41st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Periquitos further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Garcia in stoppage time.
Malaga CF remains in 7th place with 35 points from 23 games, 6 points behind Villarreal CF, which has a game in hand.
