La Liga (Week 20) : Espanyol defeats Almeria 3-0
SPAIN, Jan. 25, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 20: Two wins in a row for Espanyol. After their 1-0 win against Celta Vigo on January 17, Los Periquitos continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 3-0 victory over Almeria this Sunday.
Christian Stuani scored dual goals
Espanyol dominated the first half thanks to goals from Stuani ('37, '40). Leading 2-0 at the break, Los Periquitos further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Caicedo in the 74th minute.
RCD Espanyol remains in 9th place with 26 points from 20 games, one point behind SD Eibar.
