La Liga (Week 20) : Barcelona defeats Elche 6-0
SPAIN, Jan. 24, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 20: Three wins in a row for Barcelona. After their success against Atletico Madrid and Deportivo La Coruna, Barca continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 6-0 victory over Elche this Saturday.
Lionel Messi and Neymar scored dual goals
Barcelona dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by defender Gerard Piqué in the 35th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Barca further widened their lead in the second period by scoring five times (Messi '55/penalty, '88, Neymar '69, '71 and Pedro '90).
FC Barcelona remains in second place with 47 points from 20 games, one point behind Real Madrid, which has a game in hand.
