La Liga (Week 20) : Real Madrid beats Cordoba 2-1
SPAIN, Jan. 24, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 20: Three wins in a row for Real Madrid. After their success against Espanyol and Getafe, Los Blancos continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-1 victory over Cordoba this Saturday.
Cordoba forward Nabil Ghilas opened the score in the 3rd minute on penalty, before seeing Real Madrid catch up in the 27th minute thanks to Karim Benzema. 1-1 at half time. Los Blancos eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Bale on penalty with one minute left in regular time.
Real Madrid remains in first place with 48 points from 19 games, a 4-point lead over runner-up FC Barcelona.
