La Liga (Week 15) : Atletico beats Bilbao 2-1
SPAIN, Dec. 13, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 15: Five wins in a row for Atletico Madrid. After their success against Sporting Gijon, Real Betis, Espanyol and Granada, Los Colchoneros continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao this Sunday.
Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte opened the score in the 27th minute, before seeing Atletico Madrid catch up in the 45th minute thanks to Saúl Ñiguez. 1-1 at half time. Los Colchoneros eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Griezmann in the 67th minute.
Atletico Madrid remains in second place with 35 points from 15 games, tie on points with FC Barcelona.
