La Liga (Week 32) : Atletico beats Espanyol 3-1

SPAIN, Apr. 9, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 32: Two wins in a row for Atletico Madrid. After their 5-1 win against Real Betis on April 2, Los Colchoneros continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 3-1 victory over Espanyol this Saturday.

Espanyol midfielder Diop Pape opened the score in the 29th minute, before seeing Atletico Madrid catch up in the 35th minute thanks to Fernando Torres. 1-1 at half time. Los Colchoneros eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Griezmann ('59) and Koke ('89).

Atletico Madrid remains in second place with 73 points from 32 games, 3 points behind FC Barcelona, which has a game in hand.
