SPAIN, Oct. 2, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 7: Two wins in a row for Atletico Madrid. After their 1-0 win against Deportivo La Coruna on September 25, Los Colchoneros continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-0 victory over Valencia this Sunday.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Griezmann ('63) and Gameiro ('90).
Atletico Madrid climbed to first place with 15 points from 7 games, one point ahead of runner-up Real Madrid, which has a game in hand.
